Editor’s Note: As these were a Limited Edition item, you’ll have a hard time procuring them now. Play with other kinds or just get the Golden Oreos! It’s still wonderful!
I am totally in FALL/WINTER-MODE! But I took a time out. Just for you weird summer-lovers out there (you’re lucky I love this flavor combo all year long) and made a yummy, super-decadent fudge using white chocolate, orange extract and some kick-ass Oreos.
So, side note: Oreo came out with these Limited Edition Orange Creamsicle Oreos. You may still be able to find some. I did, after all. But if you can’t, I think substituting the Golden Oreos will do you just fine.
Presenting!
Orange Creamsicle Oreo Fudge
2 1⁄4 cup white chocolate chips
1 can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 ½ tbsp orange extract
1 pk. Orange Creamsicle Oreos (or Golden Oreos), 6 reserved
Line a 9×9 pan with parchment paper. Just do it, it’ll be easier for you in the long run.
Chop Oreos into fourths, set aside. Twist open your six reserved Oreos. Put the cream centers in the bowl with the Oreo quarters. Set the outsides aside. (You’ll be pressing them into the top of your fudge later.)
Combine condensed milk and chocolate chips in a large glass bowl. Ya know, stir it up.
Microwave for 2 minutes, stir it some more.
Microwave for 1 minute increments, stirring between each one until completely melted and no chunks are left. About 6 minutes.
Add in orange extract. (It will sizzle.) Stir until combined.
Then add in bowl of Oreo quarters. Stir until combined.
Dump contents of bowl into that parchment-lined baking dish. Press Oreo halves into the top, printed side up.
Refrigerate until set. 2-4 hours. Or longer. Longer doesn’t matter.
Cut into small pieces and serve up to smiling faces.
