Pumpkin Butter Grilled Cheese

Pumpkin Butter Grilled Cheese

I realize EVERYTHING is pumpkin right now. It has taken over every restaurant and grocery store in the country. I say this as I sip my Dunkin Donuts Pumpkin Coffee with Coffee-mate Pumpkin Spice Creamer. I’m completely guilty of being sucked into the pumpkin craze.

But this one is a little better than the “force the pumpkin in” phenomena. This is a crispy, melty, fall experience. It lies somewhere between savory and sweet. And most importantly, it’s completely satisfying and delish.

This one is really quite simple. Put pumpkin butter on both slices of bread. Put a thick layer of cheese on one of those slices. Close up your sandwich and butter both sides. Cook over medium heat until the bread is that pretty golden brown color and your cheese is melty. It won’t take long for the cheese to get melty if you are using a semi-soft. Let set for a minute before you eat it. (Don’t want any burnt tongues out there.) Enjoy the pumpkin-inny goodness. Mmmm.
